Our Work

We work in the fields of Feminist Foreign Policy, Women Peace Security, and Transitional Justice from a majority world perspective. Our core areas of work are research, documentation, training, and advisory support.

“Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions, for safety in the streets, for child care, for social welfare, for rape crisis centres, women’s refuges, reforms in the law. If someone says, ‘Oh, I’m not a feminist’, I ask, ‘Why? What’s your problem?”

- Dale Spender

What do we do?

Researching and Writing

Research & Documentation

We research issues concerning the WPS Agenda, Feminist Foreign Policy, and Transitional Justice. We produce articles, white papers, videos, and podcasts. We document conflict-related sexual violence through our dedicated CRSV observatory.

Adult Students

Training

We conduct live training sessions and offer on-demand programs in the fields of Feminist Foreign Policy, Women Peace Security, Conflict analysis and transformation, and Peace and Conflict Studies. Our trainings center a majority world view.

United Nations

Advisory

We participate in multilateral processes at the international level, and offer advisory support to governments and civil society toward building decolonial approaches in the journey toward adopting Feminist Foreign Policies and WPS National Action Plans.

Our Mission

  • To center the global south in the WPS Agenda and Feminist Foreign Policy fields.

  • To expand the scope of extant research and strategies through an intersectional lens.

  • To influence the WPS Agenda through global south-led voices, narratives, research, and documentation.
